How Does the YuGiOh rarity system work?

i have alot of cards i wanna trade and im making a list for a online trade site, but i have been out of the game for sometime now. how does the rarity system work??

Also, you may see that on some cards there is “1st Edition” written below the picture, and some cards don’t have any writing there at all. The ones with no writing are called Unlimited Edition cards; which are not as rare as the 1st Edition cards.
