Yahoo Card Games Canasta

When I play canasta on yahoo…seems it locks up most of the time then freezes my computer….I think its java
I think the problem is caused by java. I just got a new computer …had no problems playing cards on my old computer. On my old computer …everytime I played a game it would ask if I wanted to download the game or not…I always chose not to….and never had a problem. I miss my canasta games but my computer locks up and freezes every time
I’m not sure if it’s Java. i have the same problem with all the games I play. It’s just thta yahoo has many ads on their game pages and everything downloads really slow and then freezes. It’s just awful.
