Card Games Bs Rules
There once was a card game….?
SO, there was this card game I learnt to play a while back, it was a bit like war and BS combined. In the title it had the word “rat” or something similar. It was possibly called something like Rat Sham Bow. Could you help me figure out the rules and what it’s called? Thanks.
Hmmm… I don’t know if this is what you’re taking about, but could it be Egyptian Rat Slap/Egyptian Rat Screw? I think the basic idea is that you divide the deck up evenly between the players (2 or more) who hold their individual decks face-down like war. The basic rules of play that I’ve always used are:
1. You go around in turns putting cards on a stack in the middle. The goal is to get all of the cards
2. Slapping:You can get cards by slapping the deck either if their is a double (like two 4s on top of each other) or if there is a sandwich (like 4, 8, 4). If you slap the deck first, you pick up the entire pile and add it to the bottom of your own stack. If you slap and there is no double or sandwich, put one of your cards on the bottom of the pile as a penalty.
3. Face cards: If the person before you plays a face card (J,Q,K,A), you must play a face card or else risk losing the deck to them. You have 1,2,3,or 4 chances respectively to play a face card. You play the cards from the top of your deck as normal, so it’s based on luck. If you don’t play a face card, the person who played before you gets the deck, if you do, the person after you must try to play a face card and it continues… (The normal rules for slapping still apply. For example, if player one plays a queen and player two plays two 4s and slaps the pile, player 2 gets the pile even though they failed to produce a face card).
4. Losing: If you go out, you’ve pretty much lost. However, some people let others who don’t have decks slap back in. It’s up to your group to decide.
That’s pretty much it. You can google it too because there are definitely some rules that I don’t play with. Hope that helps =)
