Below is a poem I wrote about a year ago. I want to see how many of you can figure out how I was feeling-
I still think of that time, those days
the laughter, the excitement, the mystery
to this day even though all that has happened has taken its course
I still laugh about some of the things you used to say to me
I smiled more, I laughed more
I even cried a little
but the one thing that makes me still think of you
Is the way you made me feel
I was free to be me
I was content
my thoughts were consumed with you
It was new
and fresh
minus the baggage that I had grown to know
and accept before there was you
I miss those times
my heart aches because I have a feeling
that was my only chance with you
and it hurts
I am making a mistake by doing what I am doing now
I know I am
I’m not as happy as I should be
but what is there to do about it
I have dealt the cards once again
yet this time
I feel like just playing along
instead of winning the game
You were in a relationship that no one one was supposed to know about. Either one of you broke it off. Your life has become out of control because of the fact. You know you want this person but your scared to take another chance because you convinced yourself if u try again it will end in the same result. Take a chance. It really can’t get any worse it’s evident that u miss the person. chin up
