Online Card Games Bridge

Xbox Connectivity Question?
Yesterday I set my Xbox 360 up to connect to the internet through my Dell Desk Top. I have a wireless card (Linxus) for my desk top and the signal strength is “Excellent”. However, when I play Xbox Live the signal for online gaming doesn’t seem as strong and sometimes I either get booted or disconnected from Xbox Live.
The only option I have to play online is to run the internet through my desk top computer.
I have the internet and xbox “bridged” on my computer to allow the internet to work on the xbox.
What steps can I take to make it run smoother? Faster? Does it matter if I am surfing the web when I’m playing Xbox Live?
Thanks for your help.
First – Wireless is always slower than wired
Wireless “G” – 54 Mbs
Wireless “N” – 600 Mbs
Wired – 1 Gbs
The most common wireless is G so you are running at least half speed
Second – Linking Xbox through a computer to a wireless card to a wireless router is always going to be slower than going directly to the router. And yes – anything you do on the computer that uses CPU cycles will affect how well the “bridge” works
You best solution – run a cable from the router to the X-box
Next best solution – upgrade to an N router and get a N wireless adapter for the X box
Next best – Get a G wireless adapter for the X-box
Sorry for the bad news
Have fun anyway

Space Jam $19.98 Although at first glance it looks like a movie dreamed up by a marketing committee (and in some respects it probably was), Space Jam actually defies the odds against it to become a dazzling display of family entertainment. There’s a kind of demented genius to the idea of casting NBA superstar Michael Jordan in a live-action and animated movie costarring the beloved characters from Warner Bros.’ Lo… |
