Probability Math Project Question?

I need to do a math proyect that’s under 2000 words

I had some ideas but one in specific I do not know how to put it on math.

There is a card game in my school called war, cards are equally split and people count to 3 to show a card from the top. Whoever has the highest card gets to keep both cards. The winner is the one that in the end has all the cards or the most number of cards.

Any ideas on how to calculate how many turns in average it will take for a person to win?
Any other ideas regarding this project?

I wouldn’t like to base a project on this game as it is purely chance.
Maths projects work better if you have a feeling that what you set out to prove is true (or party true).
eg you can predict the size of a person’s foot my measuring from their wrist to their inner elbow. Can this also be used to predict their height?
As long as you measure about 30 people, you can’t go far wrong.
