Kids Card Games Online

Would you let a toddler play on a computer?
I take my 2 year old (28months) daughter to the library once a week. She only looks at books for a few minutes, then runs over to the computers at the first chance. Of course she’s too young to do anything other than pound on the keyboard. But now the library has children’s computers that have colorful games for very young kids. I didn’t mind her playing with the library’s online catalog computers since she really can’t do anything. It’s non-interactive and not exactly like she’ll get addicted to online card catalogs. But now that they have real games for kids on the computers, I’m not sure I want her getting into that yet. Thoughts? When did you let your kids start playing with computers? Is it really that bad if a computer entertains my daughter for 20 minutes? (BTW we restrict her TV time to less than 30 minutes a day, so it’s not like she’s an electronics zombie or anything)
My son was about 2.5 when he started playing with a Fisher Price “Computer Cool School”. It’s one of those kids keyboard things that attaches to a real computer and he can play learning games. It’s great. He was closer to 3 when he really got the hang of it. He just turned 4 and plays on the computer several times a week (PBS kids, the Disney site, etc). It’s educational and God knows he’s going to have to eventually know how to use a computer, so why not start now?
