I am influenced too much by anime?
My life is being ruined by anime. In the real world i am always bored and don’t want to do anything. What i like, my hobbies is decided by the anime i watch. I started watching hikaru no go, i became a 15k at go. once i finished the series i got bored of it. I used to laugh at kids who played yugioh or duelmosnters. I watched the anime, and now i have spent like 50 bucks on both card games within a week, stop watching got over them. I always played soccer even on a comp team. I watched prince of tennis, stopped playing soccer and started tennis lessons. I didn’t like detectives all that much, it was just okay, then i watched case closed and now all i do is read/watch/play detective books/movies/games. I started playing the ace attorney games and now my dream profession is to be a lawyer. What the hell is wrong with me?
That kinda sounds like what i did (to some extent). I got really into tennis when i first watched Prince of Tennis, but it worked out fine because i was already taking tennis lessons. But I ended up quitting because schoolwork got in the way, not ‘cuz the series ended. I still play on my school team, maybe you could try taking up that? I’m actually more surprised at the fact that your parents go along with all of this. My parents would’ve never let me keep switching around my interests XD
Instead of letting anime be in charge of the driving force of your interests, why don’t you just use it to help boost your natural ones? You said mentioned that you liked soccer, why don’t you watch some soccer animes like ‘Whistle!’?
And you don’t have to worry too much, my little brother has spent over $100 on Pokemon cards and Bakugan toys since she started to watch the shows.
I’m sure everyone (that has watched anime or read manga) at some point in their lives felt the way you did.
