How To Play Card Games Spit

has anyone played the card game spit?
if you have please tell me how to play!
In detail
it’s a 2-player game.
SETTING UP
1. Split the deck into two even stacks for 2 players (not including jokers)
2. With your own stack (the half deck) place 1 card face up.
3. To the right of it, place 2 cards, the top one should be face up and the bottom face down.
4. Next to that, place 3 cards with only the top card face up, place 4 cards with only the top card face up, and place 5 cards with only the top card face up. You should have 5 stacks with 1 card in the first stack, 2 in the 2nd, 3 in the 3rd, 4 in the 4th, and 5 in the 5th. All top cards should be face up.
6. Your opponent should do the same.
7. With your leftover cards, place them in front of your layout in 1 facedown stack. Your opponent will do the same, so make sure there is enough room between both of your leftover stacks for about a few cards. It is better if you guys are facing each other.
THE RULES OF SPIT
1. You can’t have more than 5 stacks in your layout.
2. Whenever you have matching cards by the number, not the suit, you can put them together. You can put matching numbers in your LAYOUT whenever and as many as youhave. So, at the beginning of the game, if you see matching numbers you can put them together.
3. Let’s say that you have less that 5 stacks in your layout. You can move piles of the same number into a empty spot and flip up the bottom card face up. If you have more than one facedown card underneath, just flip the top one. if you don’t have any bottom cards anywhere, that’s ok. Just remember that max number of stacks you can have is 5 and to keep moving and flipping bottom cards when you can.
HOW TO PLAY
1. At the same time, you and your opponent should take the top card of your individual leftover stack of cards and flip it over.
2. The order you put cards is like Solitaire ( Ace, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,Jack, Queen, King), but the thing is that you can place cards like this:ex: ace, king, ace, 2,3,4,5,4.
So, you can go up and down as long as it is in the proper order. You can’t have the same number on top of the same number, like you can’t have a King on a King or a 7 on a 7.
3.You take cards from your layout (matching or moving or flipping when you have to) on to any of the two cards that was just placed down as long as the cards fit the order.
4. Speed is everything in this game because the only way to win is to get rid of all your cards.
5. You and your opponents keep on flipping cards from the leftover stacks when no one can place a card from their layout or a person decides to pass to the next card.
6. Let’s say you run out of cards in your layout, you win…this round. You should now have two stacks from all the cards you were placing down and maybe some cards in the leftover stacks. Since you won this round, get the stack in between the leftover stacks that has the least cards and any cards in your leftover stack (should be the right one). Your opponent (the loser) gets all the cards you didn’t get. And then you start all over again until someone is left with no cards(the winner if so). Shuffling helps keep the game fair.
Hope this help! Enjoy!!
