Will this computer run Windows 7?
I have a Dell Workstation Precision 380 without an OS and I’m getting ready to replace with this old Dell Optiplex GX260… I was wondering… what does this “Designed for Windows XP” means? It also has a product key for Windows XP Professional. Now… I was thinking of.. not installing old XP and instead I want to install Windows 7 because of the nice specs it has…. (2 GB DDR2, 512MB Asus gaming video card, Dual Core processor @ 2,4GHZ each)
The question is, will it run as optimal it will with Windows XP? ^^

The designed for XP sticker tells me the system is few years old and may have issues running Win7. Your best bet and easist method for testing Windows 7 compatibility is to download the WIndows 7 Upgrade Advisor free from Mocrosoft. Below is the link. Follow the advice and it should tell you what will and won’t work and what you can expect from the User experience.
