Games and activities to play with toddler..?
I have a 16 month old son and I am looking for some new activities and games to play with him, any ideas? He can almost repeat back the entire alphabet and a lot of words. I’m interested in getting that ‘Your baby can read’ I believe its called, with the flash cards.
I wouldn’t bother with the ‘your baby can read’ stuff. I’ve read up on that and they have to watch it twice a day for about a year or so before they get it. – Seems a waste of a childhood to leave them in front of the telly.
Try playing farm games with him and teaching him the animals and he can make the noises that the animals make etc.
Get him an alphabet puzzle so he can learn the shapes of the letters.
Make play fun, build towers with blocks and tell him the colours of all the blocks. Simple fun activities so he doesn’t get bored and it’s not all about direct read from the book learning.
