How many of you fear of collusion on internet poker?

I play on fulltiltpoker.com. I play 1/2 NL cash games. Do you think collusion happens a lot? I’m not so much concerned about getting squeezed between two players reraising me in the middle because that’s kind of hard to do in NL. It’s A LOT easier to pull that stunt in limit poker. What does concern me is that, for example, two or three people are working together and I’m in the hand with them. I have AA, and two other people have KK and JJ. Let’s say there was light betting preflop, flop, and turn, and on the river I go all in because there are all small cards on the board. Well obviously the guy with KK is going to tell the guy with JJ to fold, cutting the amount of money I can win in total. What do you guys think about this?

I’m sure this happens but I don’t think there is that great of advantage in doing it. In your example above most good players would fold their JJ anyways with 2 other people all-in. I think it would be easy to spot people doing this and if you suspect it is happening just go to another table. If groups of people start following you around that would be easy to pick up on. I’ve been playing online daily for the past 5-6 years and honestly can’t say I’ve never suspected colluding. I am not worried about it at all. Any good player should be able to pick up on people colluding. There just are not that many good opportunities that arise for the colluders to make it profitable. If anything they would be playing too many flops together and wasting their money hoping for a flop that helps them cheat.
