Is this an actual card game or made up?

My Grandma and her friends use to play a card game called Garbage. It is 5 mini games and the person with lowest score wins. You deal seven cards to each, if you cut the deck perfect you minus 100 from your score. Games are two sets of three, run of four and a set of three, three sets of three, run of seven, and a set of eight. The game starts with a card facing up, if the person wants it they take it and discard something else. Or pass it by putting a card from the deck on it and passing it to the next person, then taking a card from the the deck and discarding. Jokers and 2′s are wild. Low cards are 5 points, 10 – kings are 10 points, Aces are 15 points, 2′s are 20 and jokers are 50. It’s a fun game, just curious if anybody else has heard of it or its just something made up.

I’m going to say it’s real (And not because I read the answers above me =D)
