I need massive help concerning video cards and video drivers PLEASE HELP!!!?

I have direct x version 9 and I downloaded maplestory when I try to play it says it failed in screen mode for gr2d or something like that I been searching around and I believe the problem is that I don’t have a video driver when I try and search for the name of my graphic card all I could find was video controller something and I think it’s because I don’t have a video driver were can I download it is it free?

Also I’m going to format my computer(erase it) and start a new because there are to many stuff so I’m reinstalling windows xp proffessinal my microsoft word,games(spades,solitare), paint and a few other accesories have been deleted when I re-install will I get these features back?
Also when I look up my computer info it says something like this
“The system is using the generic video driver. Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.” this is under direct x diagnostic tool

When you reformat a computer, you erase everything from the hard drive. You need to back up anything that’s not on your install CD. That would include things like photos, music, documents, etc. If you installed games from a CD, you’ll need those CDs to reinstall. If you installed things like antivirus programs, etc. by downloading them (no install CD available), you’ll need to know what website you visited for the download. And if anything required a registration number or product key, you’ll need those as well to re-register and re-activate the product.
