Question on custom firmware for PSP?
I’m buying a PSP online that has custom firmware that can allow me to play downloaded games
One of the sellers described the PSP as : PSP 3002
It has Custom Firmware 5.03 Prometheus 2 installed so you can play .iso and .cso files (game backups).
The memory card is filled with Custom Firmware, programs to make backups of your games and other homebrew software (all legal copyright-free shareware).
Does PSP3002 already have a custom firmware? the seller mentioned game backups which i dont understand. i thought PSP3000 dont have custom firmware yet?
can someone please explain to me what the seller is saying and can the custom firmware the seller have play downloaded games?

Ok so basically a hacked PSP can play .cso and .iso files, as if they were actual games. They show up on the memory card, and you can just open them like an official psp game demo.
cso and iso are basically disc image files, which contain the actual games. cso is better, because it is more compressed, allowing for more games to fit on a memory card
