Need Pinochle card game beginner information, book, site?

We have a friend that played Pinochle as a child and is now ill & elderly & wants to play again but as might be expected can’t recall enough to teach us how.
I looked up on Wikipedia & found a general reference information, which was actually pretty good, here’s the first paragraph…

“Pinochle (sometimes Pinocle or Penuchle), is a trick-taking game typically for two or four players and played with a 48 card deck. Derived from the card game Bezique, players score points by trick-taking and also by forming combinations of cards into melds. Each hand is played in three phases: bidding, melds, and tricks.
A Pinochle deck consists of two copies of each of the 9, 10, jack, queen, king, and ace cards of all four suits (spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs).Aces are always considered high….”

I’m looking for a nice beginner handbook, not for card sharks but for people who want to pass the time with a sick elder, playing non- or maybe just gentle-competitatively.

These sites may be of some help to you. I would also check at a large book store if you have one in your area. They often have books with rules for dozens of card games in one book and pinochle may be in one of them. I hope this helps.
