where can i find an alienware area 51 m7700 internal wireless card?

My alienware area 51 m7700 did not come with an internal wireless card and i am wondering where can i find one, or a pcmcia card or usb wireless driver that would be able to allow me to play games on the internet or on game sites like kongregate.com or pogo.com without lag. thank you in advance!

Well, let’s educate you a bit.

Most internet providers (in the states) sell packages of 1mbps, 5mbps and 10mbps… download speeds. Wireless B works at 11mbps, Wireless G works at 54mbps, and Wireless N works at 300mbps. So, even if you were able to dig up some 8 year old Wireless B card (and it was put into use in 1999) you would still connect with it to your router FASTER than the internet connection you pay for. Thus, the wireless card would have NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with any lag you might experience.

So, with that in mind, the world is your oyster as to which wireless card you want to buy. If you want to get fancy, you can buy a Hawking Wireless G with removable antenna http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833164015&cm_re=hawking-_-33-164-015-_-Product and actually replace the antenna with a Hi-Gain model http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127063&cm_re=Dlink_antenna-_-33-127-063-_-Product so you can get the best signal possible over the longest distance… heck I use that same exact setup with my laptop, since the antenna has a magnetic base and goes nicely on the car roof when I’m wardriving… er.. scanning for networks in the neighborhood. Of course, that’s a bit pricy for someone who is just going to use it at a desk in the house. But you get the picture.
