Overheating Laptop.?
My Alienware Area51-m5550 cost me a lot of money, and money is not something I have. When I bought it, I was not very smart in the area of computers, and I saw Alien, and saw Gaming, so I thought it was the greatest ever. How wrong I was.
Anyways, being the cheap guy I am, I only got the one-year warranty. Almost exactly 53 weeks after I got it, my laptop starting having problems. First off, my sound card stopped working, then worked erratically, then my sound card worked, it was just the corner of my laptop where the mic and headphone jack, the volume slider, and the build in microphone were that stopped working. About three weeks after that, my computer overheated and shut down unexpectedly while I was playing a low level game (Call of Duty One, not too stressful on my system). Since the warranty expired, Alienware has nicely screwed me over.
The whole basic question is: Is there anyplace that could repair my laptop, and what kind of laptop cooling stand do you recommend?
just find a cooling fan that has two fans on it from best buy. the one that has to big fans. im sorry to hear u spent so much for a labtop and its overheating. good luck to u on fixing that labtop of yours.
