can someone help me identify this card game? and how do i play?

okay, so it’s a casrd game for two people, and we have 2 rows of four cards lined up. we each get cards and then if we have the same card as a card in any of the 2 rows, you slap it down. i forgot the rest. does anyone recognize this game?

i think it is speed.Your have four cards and so does the other player and the point is to get ride of all your cards by covering the pairs that are found in the 8 cards in front of you until there are no pairs. Then the four cards that belong to you, you would grab them plus all the ones that were added and repeat the beginning of the instructions untill you no longer have any cards or they no longer have any cards.
Sorry if that doesnt make sense.
