Best Card Games For One Person

Has anyone noticed that Yahoo Answers is like Apples to Apples?
I’ve noticed that a lot people pick the answers they like rather than the best answers and that if you want to get picked as the “Best Answer”, you need to try and give answers that the person that asked the question will like.
What do you all think of this?
Just to clarify, Apples to Apples is a group card game, where one person draws a question card and judges the answers of the other players, and everyone else tries to choose a card from their hand that either matches the criteria of the question card (Such as putting down a card that says Apple for a card that says Fruit), or a card that the the person who pulled the question card will like.
Your analogy is quite good for many of the so-called “opinion-based” questions. There are some people who are only interested in answers that validate their viewpoint and agree with their opinions.
Then again, their questions are often easily detected because they’re thinly veiled rants, and thus they’re easy to avoid (or report if necessary, see below).
I answer mostly in the Science categories where people ask “fact-based” questions, and we don’t usually have that problem except with a few topics. So it depends on the category; opinions are predictably strong in areas such as Religion, Politics, etc, but also in others where you wouldn’t expect it, such as Pets.
What to do about it? You have described one of the strategies to deal with this type of questions: answer exactly what the asker wants to hear, just to get BA (that is, assuming that the question is not a violation).
Other options are: ignore them if they’re valid but biased (the acronym IAMO – Ignore And Move On – applies here), or report them if they’re not valid questions but statements/rants (in other words, RAMO – Report And Move On – ). IAMO is usually my personal choice, unless the “question” is really abusive.
