my removable disk “e” its not working?

i try to upload some pictures and i find that my memory card reader its not working usually i have on” MY COMPUTER ” the hard disk,the dvd or cd reader “C” and the removable disk “E ” and my pictures that use to work when i place in the xd memory card of my camera the point is this device its not on the file info of my computer “any more ”
‘ but if i plug in the fax or printer works good exept for the memory card xd i allow my kids use the computer for play some games online i think they may change something in my lap top!some body can tell me how to fix this ?
