2 Player Drinking Card Games

Anyone play multiplayer PC games with wireless internet?
I have been trying to play some old school Counter-Strike but I find that it is absolutely miserable on my Wireless internet. We have 7 people sharing one connection, the server PC sucks, I live the furthest away from the router so my connection is the worst and gives out alot, my wireless card plugs into a 1.0 USB port when the card is best used on a 2.0, and due to room assignments in the house it will be expensive to route a new cable line to my room. What am I to do? I used to be an avid CS player back in high school, but since this new living situation I can’t even play at all.
Is multiplayer gaming possible on wireless or must i have a land line? HELP!
After being at the library 3-5 hours a day, its always fun to relax and game a little. I don’t want to drink EVERY night!
I found even being right next to the wireless router that it did not help much. Honestly it depends what type of game you play in my opinion. Unfortunately when you mention CS that means FPS and those are the WORST to play on wireless. They give out and sometimes you will freeze for seconds at a time until it is restored.
A game like World of Warcraft (not raiding which takes timing depending on your class) is more playable on a wireless connection; not to say it still will not be annoying.
I am sure wireless in the future will be good, but for now the connection is not for me. I will stick with a land line unless I must go wireless depending on my living situation at the time.
